NSW coach Brad Fittler has a vision of seeing every fan at a State of Origin game in Sydney decked out in a Blatchys Blues kit by 2030 after Game Two tickets went on sale for the 2018 series on Thursday.

The recently appointed Blues mentor last played for his state in 2004 when a small group of fans wore nothing but sky blue - a notion that later sparked a flow-on effect with the supporter group now the largest in Australia.

"I can't see why one day we can't have the whole stadium blue one day," Fittler told NRL.com.

"From the point of value and one thing we are going to do this year is make sure the Blatchys ticket is the most sought-after ticket."

Fittler said the opportunity for Sydney to host Origin II in 2018 in the first standalone game on a Sunday in 17 years was a chance to "shine" and bring back a family weekend experience.

"I know it's going to be limited but we want people lining up just to get their hands on Blatchys tickets," Fittler said.

"We'll have a few things to come that will get people more interested in being a Blatchy."

NRL chief commercial officer Andrew Abdo believed under the guidance of Fittler, NSW would respond well to their 2-1 series loss to Queensland in 2017.

"Holden State of Origin is the most watched sporting event in the country and I can only imagine with the talent coming through in NSW as well as a new coach, the series will go to another level again in 2018," Abdo said.

"This year's decider is the most watched television show of the year and there continues to be enormous interest in the interstate series - the 2017 Holden State of Origin Series was viewed by more than 10 million people on television.

"The standalone fixture will give game two a completely different feel and we believe fans will want to take advantage of experiencing Origin on a Sunday night.

"There is nothing better than watching Origin at the venue and we have some fantastic prices available at all three venues for our supporters to take advantage of."

Tickets will start from $50.

Tickets are on sale now for Games One and Two, with tickets going on sale for Game Three in early 2018.

The three-game 2018 Holden State of Origin series will be played across 6 June (Game One, MCG), 24 June (Game Two, ANZ Stadium), and 11 July (Game Three, Suncorp Stadium).
